Carbon Neutral Public Service Programme 2008/9: Green House Gas Emissions Reduction Plan for the Ministry of Justice
Starting December 2008, the Ministry will be moving into new and refurbished offices currently referred to as the Vogel Integrated Campus. The new campus will accommodate approximately 900 Ministry of Justice staff and offers excellent opportunities to centralise many services on one site.
The Vogel Integrated Campus programme within the Ministry is responsible for the design of the hard and soft fit out of the new campus. The landlord, AMP Capital Investors, are responsible for base build Ecologically Sustainable Development (ESD) initiatives and are targeting a GreenStar rating of 4 under the Green Star NZ Office Design Tool v1.
The Ministry is targeting a GreenStar rating of 4 for the fit out of the new National Office and in advance of a Green Star NZ interior fit out tool being available in 2008, the Ministry is designing its ESD features using the Green Building Council of Australia's Green Star - Office Interiors Tool v1.1.
The table below illustrates the agreed actions that will deliver emission reductions.
